$185 Project

Mark Rodriguez hired me through California College of the Arts to do studio practice units with him while he was a graduate student. We split my pay, then tried to create projects that each other might do. Mark is always much braver than me. I put an ad up all over town trying to sell $185; it had those little phone number tear-offs at the bottom. That seemed pretty brave. I made a catalog of all the items offered to me, so it is like going to the dollar store, but it is the $185 store instead. I chose $185 worth of chili verde and threw a giant party. $185 sign.
